Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information JamaPoonji collects, why, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1. Who we are

JamaPoonji is operated by its registered distribution team — an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor, ARN-358148, and an APMI-registered PMS distributor, APRN-10580 — based in India. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we are the Data Fiduciary for the information described below.

JamaPoonji is an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor, ARN-358148, and an APMI-registered PMS Distributor, APRN-10580. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser.

2. The short version

• We collect your Google account basics and the numbers you enter into the calculators.
• We use them to run the calculators, save your plans, and show you your dashboard.
• We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your data.
• You can use the calculators without an account; in that case your figures stay in your browser.
• You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your data by writing to the address above.

3. What we collect

When you sign in with Google

We receive your name, email address, profile picture, and a Google account identifier. We never receive your Google password. Sign-in is handled by Supabase Authentication acting on our instructions.

What you enter

Whatever you put into the tools: retirement assumptions and results, goals, expenses, buy-versus-rent inputs, vault planner inputs, and saved calculations. For paid accounts, this includes the plan information your adviser enters for you.

Account state

Whether your account is free or paid, and timestamps for when records were created or last changed.

Technical information

When your browser calls our API, Cloudflare records standard request information: an approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, the requested path without its query string, the response status, timings, and a request identifier. We use this to keep the service secure and to debug faults. Our logs deliberately exclude your financial inputs, authentication tokens, query strings, and raw error contents.

If you use the calculators without an account

Your figures are stored only in your browser's local storage, under two keys (wealthcraft_pending and wealthcraft_vault_planner_v1). They are not sent to us until you sign in and choose to save or sync them.

4. What we do not collect

• No third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or session recorders.
• No tracking cookies. We use cookies only where sign-in requires them.
• No payment card details. We do not take payments on this site.
• No data about you from other sources, and no profiling for advertising.

5. Why we use it

• To create and secure your account, and to recognise you when you return.
• To run the calculators and save the plans you ask us to save.
• To sync calculations you made as a guest once you sign in, when you choose to.
• To provide the paid, adviser-managed plan, where you are on that plan.
• To keep the service available, prevent abuse, and fix faults.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to a mutual fund distributor.

Where the DPDP Act applies, we rely on your consent, which you give by choosing to sign in and use the service, and on the legitimate uses the Act permits. You can withdraw consent at any time; see section 10.

6. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers, who process data only on our instructions:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, API hosting, and request logs.
• Google — sign-in, when you choose "Sign in with Google".

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

7. Where your data is stored

Data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, and processed by the service providers listed above.

8. How long we keep it

• Account data and saved plans — while your account is active.
• After you ask us to delete — removed within 30 days, except where we must keep records for tax, accounting or regulatory reasons, or where a backup copy has not yet rotated out.
• Request logs — retained by our hosting provider for a short period, currently around 30 days or less.
• Guest calculations — held only in your browser, until you clear your browser storage.

9. How we protect it

Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. The browser never receives our database secret key: it talks to our own API, which checks who you are and what you may read or write. The database separately enforces row-level access rules. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate the service.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:

• confirm what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct data that is wrong or out of date;
• erase data, where we do not have to keep it;
• withdraw consent, which ends the processing that relied on it;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.

To exercise any of these, email contact@jamapoonji.com. We respond within 30 days. There is currently no self-service delete button in the product, so deletion is handled by this request route.

11. Grievances

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, write to our Grievance Officer at contact@jamapoonji.com. If we cannot resolve it, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

12. Children

JamaPoonji is meant for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect.
